Introduction

Hello, and welcome to The Other Shore, version 2.0.

My name is Andrew Evanson and I started this site a little over a year ago. The main aim was to provide me with an impetus for my writing. I’m rather afraid it was only partially successful.

I love horror and thriller movies, television shows and books. I had the idea that I would write a kind of potted history of horror films – from the standpoint of a fan, writing for other fans. I figured that the best way to get it done would be to return to the site.

As it has been active for a year, it was time for that horror movie fan’s nightmare – a reboot!

So I have revamped the front page – this page in fact – and organised the content on the “bookshelf” below. The whole site, though, is very much Under Construction and there are placeholders hiding among the content. The new logo was created by me to resemble a late nineteen seventies television title card. No particular show, just the look and the feel of the thing. That too is not immune to alteration though! So it is worth subscribing – either directly or by email – so you can keep up to date with any changes.
